Did pioneering work in desilting of tanks and silt application. Worked mostly with people, be it in Farmers’ clubs, women SHGs, watershed development committees and farmers. Preached Self help at all levels. Introduced Non-pesticidal pest management, SRI rice cultivation, water budgeting, horticulture, organic farming in NABARD watershed development programme.
