4th CHINNA SHODHA YATRA

CHINTUR TO MOTUGUDEM 15-17 JUNE 2012

Dear Sir,
My report and feedback of CSY-4 is as follows,
It was 14th June morning, I was so excited about CSY-4 since I already participated in CSY-2. I with my cousins boarded "Kakatiya fast passenger" and reached Badrachalam Road, after long 8hrs. of Travel.

Day 1(15th June, 2012):
Early Morning, few of the yatris had bath in River Godavari and visited Badrachalam Temple. Later, reached a school in Chintur, where Brig.(retd.)Ganesham Garu enriched our brains full of curiosity with objectives and to-do activities in Yatra, which he cleverly called unlearning process.

In the same school, Brigadier garu had an interaction with the children and yatris when he encouraged the children to do creative things.

We had lunch and started our Yatra. While walking, in between we visited "Anganwadi Badi Bata", where 2 of the students sang songs. Later Ganesham garu showed them NIF innovators' videos which inspired them and had interaction with children & teachers of that school. Thereafter, all of us walked till Tulasipalem, acquainting with each other and observing beautiful nature around us.

At Tulasipalem, in a school, we had dinner and sat down for feedback of the day. We slept under the sky in the school and it was definitely an amazing experience.

Day 2(16th June, 2012):
I woke up early in the morning and had a walk around the village observing nature and people's lifestyle with a fellow yatri. Later had bath in one of the rivulets of River Godavari, had breakfast and started walking again. In the way, we had an unexpected encounter with a group of Skilled Hunters.

From thereon, we walked through forest and later back onto road. While walking, everyone had their ears on the Brig.(retd.)Ganesham garu's wonderful experiences in life, experiences while serving Indian National Army, opinions on India's foreign relations & economy.

By night, we reached a guest house in a town named Motugudem and slept there after having dinner in a hotel.

Day 3(17th June, 2012):
Our Day started with Brig. garu's brilliant stories of Achievements of HoneyBee Network and "Grass Root Innovators" of Incredible India. After the Talk, we started the Walk! 4 Km.s later, we heard and saw Beautiful Motugudem Waterfalls, where the ultimate Shodha Yatra's meeting was held and we all shared our experiences and things we grasped in Yatra.

My Experience:
Personally, after experiencing the village life, I changed my opinion on life. To put it sarcastically, that we don't need "Apple" products to survive in life and no current for an hour is no big deal: By that, I meant that advanced technology to most is not a need but just a greed. I also learnt that people living in villages maybe deprived of advanced technology but are in possession on ancient knowledge, which our world needs most.

Fellow Yatris:
I acquainted well with all the yatris and maintained good relations with them. I spent almost equal time with every Yatri as promised earlier.

I conclude by saying that, I learned lessons, shared experiences & knowledge, had fun and of all "Almost lived a life of person in Village"

Regards,
