30 CSY Impressions – Dr Vastala Rani, IICT-CSIR, Hyderabad

Participation in the 30thShodhaYatra was my first life-time experience.  Prior to my participation I had an intuition that it would be a great experience, but never expected to be a soul touching experience, when I cried out of joy.   Walking in the remote villages during day and sometimes night and interacting with people was wonderful experience, it brought us very close to natures beauty and its people. People were very simple they welcomed us with open arms, they small gestures filled my eyes with tears.

 

Interaction with other Yatries taught me many things, most of them never had a secured job like me but still they were working on their projects to serve humanity without any complaints, hats off to all those noble souls.   

 

The best part of the Yatra for me was coming out of my comfort zone and enjoying life, like sleeping under open sky, walking in the night without street lamps, silent night walk, walking in the river, sitting on the road side etc.
To conclude my director was impressed with my participation he suggested that in next ShodhYatra I have to take a group of scientist and students with me.

Last but not the least, Our leader- Brig. Ganesham he is living Legend, he will always be in my prayers.
