'Repalle- Donepudi- Bhattiprolu- Repalle'
District Guntur, A.P. December 9-11, 2016

IMPRESSIONS - Satya prakash

It was nice to assemble and interact in the Medical and Cultural Association (MCA), which is different due to its name and the works done, and the services rendered of Dr. Prakash Rao are commendable

It was sheer luck to find in Repalle itself, a Mechanic, Shabbir, who made an innovative simplified piston ring replacing known product in Auto, making it functionally more effective and with less cost

Similarly, going to Snake Bite Healer- Suryanarayana and knowing the ancient practices of keeping heavy substance on head to save life till brought to treatment is something new to be kept in mind

Despite the Farmers’ Groups not being very receptive to listen to the various ideas that have been brought from different places, few individuals showed keen interest to learn more and get benefited

The activities in the Government School at Goregapudi with the children, particularly Sravanthi and Ram Charan, were unique due to their prompt and accurate replies apart from total involvement

The chance meet with Sri Nataraj Babu, a Piles Healer, who revealed that the ‘Thangeti Aaku’ eating would cure piles was unexpected and his offer of arranging night halt at his place was magnanimous

The night walk under the moon light was something to be remembered and strange kind of feelings it evoked among Yatris were not the same to each one, thus bringing out the different experiences

The meeting with Sri Venkateshwara Rao in the vasthu- compliant house and the discussions showed the clarity of mind on various aspects particularly relating to children’s education in different schools

The flexis kept at a central place made some villagers to come around and learn the new techniques apart from sharing about similar ones like four bores with single motor, puncture liquid in tubes, etc.

The spotting of Sri Surender near Water Tank might be useful for the success of the programmes not only in the villages near Repalle but also at other places due to his positive and receptive attitude

The heading to another Snake Bite Healer in Sivarampuram- Dharma Rao, who has different skills of understanding which snake bit the person by seeing body changes expanded horizons and insights

The deliberations on the term development has also been able to bring out many view- points which were hither to not known, and changed the mind- sets to think of alternative solutions for the better

The coming of Rajasekhar and other two gifted boys who have made several creative solutions like the instrument for removing oil spills from the sea and their continued enthusiasm were excellent

It was humble on the of teacher from Pesarlanka High School- Pothu Raju to come to the night halt place to interact with the Yatris and clarifying numerous doubts about ways of imparting learning

The visit to possible wind mill maker- Current Prasad, who was trying to increase the life of battery using motor oscillations, without power, despite personal problems, was pathetic and promising

The circular economy or the usage of waste material in making bundles of grass was best explained by the agricultural labourer, who had bad opinion on the city/ town folk for reasons of exploitation

The sittings in between and at the end of days resulted in knowing/ retaining the learning apart from reinforcing the need for more such Yatras for scouting the untapped knowledge sources for future
