18th Chinna Shodha Yatra

Cumbum to Gannepalli, District Prakasam, A.P. April 15-17, 2016

IMPRESSIONS

I took a spontaneous decision to participate in palle srujana as soon as I came to know of it, while I was searching some NGO's who are really making a positive change to the country.

The experience was very intense. I was in the company of 15 unknown people, who were are very cheerful and open to new experiences. I walked in the scorching April sun, but enjoyed the short momentary breeze that came very few times, it was more soothing than the comfort of home. I also enjoyed walking on the secluded roads on the moonlit night. It was a treat to cite a hamlet and talk to people who wer eager to talk to us strangers.

I enjoyed sleeping in the village school under the open sky. I enjoyed taking bath in the open.

It was amazing to first hand interact with the people in the farming villages, to understand what really matters to them, what drives their decision to use or not to use chemicals in farming.

It was also amazing to interact with the youth in the villages, who are keen and ambitious, to interact with the elders who were worried about the changes in the surroundings but were also happy with the conveniences.

The yatra was very well organised. The starting and stopping points were very appropriate, cant imagine if it could have been any better.

I was very impressed seeing how the conduct of the yatra, every action and word of Ganeshamji is focussed towards the walk. He walked tirelessly.

Though there were few thoughts from yatris on what to change in the next yatra, I felt what is being done is perfect and should be just continued.

Lastly, Jim rohn says "you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with". The average improved during these three days.

Best Regards,
