3. He was the leader of the Group, which
initiated Innovation into the Army successfully. He
was instrumental in developing a multi-role weapon
platform “Windy” for the Army, which was displayed
on the Republic Day Parade 2004. He also obtained
the patent for this vehicle, which happens to be the
first patent of the Indian Army.
4. For his distinguished services, Brig
Ganesham was awarded “Vishisht Seva Medal” by the
President of India on the occasion of Republic Day
2005.
5. Brig Ganesham retired from the Army and
served Bharat Dynamics Ltd as Director (Production)
from 2006-9. He successfully established the
production line for a state of the art missile fired
from tank barrel in a record time. His initiatives
brought sizeable orders worth thousands of Crores
for BDL to be executed over next 5-8 years.

Mr Ganesham lives in Secunderabad and is
active in academic and professional circles. He is
a Fellow/Member of many National Professional
organizations and presented many papers. He
organized number of National level seminars on
engineering themes He is also a Guest Faculty for
ISB, IPE, NIT, Warangal, NAARM, ESCI, ASCI, SCCL,
Power Grid and many other engineering and management
Institutions. His new initiative to bring in ‘Tera
Hertz” – A state of the art Technology into the
country has yielded positive outcome so far. NIT,
Warangal is establishing a Center of excellence in
Tera Hertz technology for which he is one of the
Directors. His expertise in patenting Rural
technologies has made NAARM to introduce a new
course at PG level.
7. Brig Ganesham subsequent to his retirement
from Army formed a voluntary group “Honeybee AP” at
Hyderabad to carry the mission of National
Innovation Foundation (NIF) in AP. Honeybee AP
scouts the grassroots innovators and endeavors to
bring their hidden creative innovations into
limelight for the benefit of society at large. It
also assists in obtaining patents for this
knowledge. This group also publishes a quarterly
“Palle Srujana” in Telugu for dissemination of
grassroots innovations. He is a Member to the
National Regional Advisory Council (NRAC) and the
coordinator of “HoneyBee AP”. He organized “Shodh
Yatra” in Vizag dist of AP in Jun 08 for a period of
8 days. A group of 70 volunteers from all over the
country and abroad walked 100 km in Araku valley in
search of traditional knowledge and creativity of
the adivasis living therein. He also launched twelve
Student clubs for Augmenting Innovation (SCAI) in
various colleges of Andhra Pradesh.
8. “Gyan Shodh” - a Social Internship
organized by him for 16 engg students of BITS,
Pilani in Jun 09, was very effective in bringing
awareness of village knowledge base to the young
students. Thereafter, BITS, Pilani included “Gyan
Shodh” as part of curriculum. 26 students from three
BITS campuses participated in “Gyan Shodh 3” for 45
days from May to Jul 2010. He is now launching “Gyan
Shodh” as a voluntary National duty for all college
students to collect knowledge from one village
each.
9. To make CSR realistic and useful to the
beneficiaries, he is shortly launching a website C2G
(Linking Corporate to grassroots) in association
with highly credible NGOs, which have a good track
record of effective delivery systems.
10. Brig Ganesham and his likeminded friends
have formed a non-profit NGO “Palle Srujana” with an
aim to promote rural creativity and empower the
rural people by bringing their valuable knowledge in
to the formal world.
