Bangarraju is self employed and repairs electronic goods and
devices. He has taken interest in improving road safety to
minimize road accidents by providing warning and speed
limiting device. It can be easily flitted to all types of
vehicles. If the vehicle runs at below specific speed, the
yellow bulb will glow, green bulb when speed is correct and
red bulb glows at over speed. An actuator controls the
accelerator and reduces the vehicle speed by 25%. It also
saves fuel because of sustained maintenance of optimum
speed. The device is being granted approved by ARAI for one
type of commercial vehicle. It is being now tested for other
vehicles too. He has also applied for patenting this device.
The device is favoured by AP Govt and Karnataka Govt. Trials
with APSRTC proved successful. It is being marketed soon
with the assistance form Tepp, DSIR.
