Shodh Yatra / 3rd CHINNA SHODHA YATRA / Imressions / MRIM

Hi! My Dear friends,

We glad to say our CSY 3 members completed their 3rd chinna sodha yatra successfully. We felt very happy with their experiences sharing in the yatra (Achampeta to Bakaram).By listening these experiences We felt one shouldn’t miss these type of opportunities. Yatra is totally filled with the marvelous and amazing experiences. They resembled and proved that the village people are the real educators with their scientific wisdom. It also proved that how much backward we are than the village people. It shows that a man can live happily with the nature, without any modern equipment also. Some of the experiences I would like to mention here.

Regarding, Their Natural Child Birth process, their Natural procedures to cure diseases with the available Natural resources and kitchen-made methods, their health tips, their strong health reasons etc. The village student’s zeal for studies and their ideology for innovations astonished our yatris. Our yatris told us the students ideology are like more enough equal to scientists.

Along with the scientific wisdom of the village people, our yatris have seen their difficulties like their struggle for bringing water from 3 kilometers, protecting their fields from forest pigs and their inability to provide food for their cattle even though the forest is nearer as forest officers are not allowing their cattle into forest. The Very sad news is that some of the families don’t have proper clothes.

Here I just mention in a brief as a SCAI coordinator, but now listen them in our yatris words

“I feel Three day memories can’t forget for  decades”

When the program of 3rd chinnasodha yatra was announced by college, I personally decided to join that yatra for learning & understanding the mindsets of people. I have confirmed by mail to Brigadier.P.Ganesham who is the chief coordinator for Honeybee AP. But, I had a dilemma to go or not due to sudden health disturb with the fever. Then with the motivation of my faculty Sivaramareddy sir and with myself intuition that I’ll get some positive energy, I strongly decided to attend CSY 3 I get a confidence in me. I then started the yatra with my friend varun and I had amazing experiences in CSY3

I FEEL THAT “Follow the villagers when you are in the new village

First of all I would like to thank my principal Dr.Srinivasa sastry garu and sivaram reddy sir for choosing me as one of the yatri for CHINNA SODHA YATRA 3. And I missed the past 2 yatras. I don’t want to miss this time .I’m very enthusiastic to precipitate in the yatra because I had a feeling to serve the villagers and to know about the knowledge that they have and had.

Our Experience together:

On the first day i.e on 24 th feb we started our 3CSY program with a warm welcoming smile by brigadier GANESHAM sir from RDT premises around 1 pm. The program stated with the ‘unlearning class’ after having lunch around 2 pm. While walking we noticed hand bore well where a rubber tire is attached to the hand lever of the bore so as to minimize the melting of the iron beneath the hand lever.

After walking for 2 km we felt tired and we were tensed how we will walk for next 2 days. But with the inspired speeches and some small stories from GANESAN sir we never felt pain for the rest of the days.

We reached to choutu palli , we was engaged talking with some villagers group and visited few houses in groups .On the way to the next village we saw a farmer working on the ground nut fields ,cutting the crop, we helped him in cutting the ground nuts. After a gentle walk for 1 km we saw a peanuts machine which automatically separates leaves and the nuts, we enjoyed a lot working with the farmers there as we saw that for the first time.

Mean while we saw a small kid around 7 yrs old whose habit is writing the diary in English with a refill. He is having lots of books in his hand and not having a proper bag to carry and not even a pen to write. We felt very pity and we offered our pen. We have given our contact number to him and asked him to contact for any help.

We interacted an old man there in that village for around half an hour, in his words we came to know that he’s very unhappy because of the liquor usage  in the village by the youngsters and he told a proverb in his word like ”kunda lo nellu unte tagutaru, leka pote ledu. ”

We met another old man there with aged about 110 years that is really amazing.

In the night by seeing the clear sky we felt very happy for the first time.Suddenly we realized that we were walking alone in the forest we came to know that we missed the remaining yatris few are them are ahead and few are lagging behind us but we couldn’t see anyone or anything. Then we found our way with the help of light used by the yatris who are waiting for us and the yatra continued…..

At last We reached a girls school and had a feedback session, there we shared our views of that particular day with each other . We dispersed to our rooms and had a sound sleep.

On the next day we noticed that, school girls woke up early in the morning at 4 a.m and doing all the activities like yoga and others things. we felt very happy with their hospitality is very good and we are very grateful to them.

In the Morning we showed some videos on the idea generations and we collected some ideas from the children there and they are really awesome .we distributed pens and biscuits for their participation and tried to encourage them a lot.

After that, our yatra has been restarted. We saw a farmer in ground nut fields and asked him about the output. Even though the former was in loss offered us some ground nuts. After some walk we had a management class with GANESHAM sir on ‘Dilemma’ that was really effective.

In the Afternoon, We had mouth watering lunch under the mango trees with cool breeze from the forest beside. All of a sudden ranjani was not feeling well she got a medicine from the women in the village made of vaamu, garlic and massage with mustard oil .Within a few minutes she got relief from the   pain, and then she started walking. At 7pm we reached lingala and we showed some videos on innovations and ideas, we collected few ideas from the students, their ideology was amazing. One student has shared her idea that it is better to have automatic ticket booking counter at the railway tracks. On around 9:30 p.m, we had dinner and had good sleep in class rooms .Before sleep we had a feedback session was quiet interesting as all involved in the feedback session.

The very next day we started our walk from the school and we spoke about the fertility of the lands and how to increase the lands fertility. We went to govt schools in ananthavaram and others and interacted with the school children. There we played, jumped, enjoyed with the children there and we became small kids again .and we felt very bad about the girl who got maturity on that time and she’s not having the knowledge about that. Even she is not having another set of clothes to change. We’ve taken her name and we’ll help her by collecting few clothes in the future. We asked a wise and old man about his fitness, then he replied that “Every day I used to have Ragisangati’ with Goat milk and fresh forest honey in my diet.”

Due to environmental changes I developed changes in my body...i started to feel heat so a lady suggested me to apply limestone paste on my toe fingers.

The very next day we started our walk from the school and we spoke about the fertility of the lands and how to increase the lands fertility. We went to govt schools in ‘ananthavaram’ and others and interacted with the school children. We played, jumped, enjoyed with the children there and we became small kids again .and we felt very bad about the girl who got maturity on that time and she’s not having the knowledge   about that .even she not having another set of clothes to change .we’ve taken her name and we’ll help her by collecting few clothes in the future.

We came to know that there is a natural medicine for mensoval stomach pains as per the old women “the mixture of sonti, white pepper, vaamu, garlic, soamph and ghee , made into a decoction add milk before consuming . ”

We want to conclude by saying what we learnt from this CHINNA SODHA YATRA 3.

  1. From this yatra we learnt how to show hospitality to guests from villagers.

  2. We knew and experienced that the products of nature how effectively curing the disease than English medicines.

  3. The Yatra totally changed our opinion and thought that we are having more knowledge than village people. Now we realize that village people are having more knowledge than us.

  4. We also learned How to respect Mankind and animal husbandry.

Now we are feeling responsible as a social being and I have decided to respect mankind, optimal usage of resources, and I wish to spend my savings for Social welfare.

At last we decided to include these types of yatras in our future.

Thank You.
